I lived in DC from 2003 to 2007 where I had the opportunity to work with a network of restaurants owned by Thievery Corporation.  Like many good restaurant & bar owners, I started at the bottom and earned my way to the top, first as coat coach, then server, bar back, and finally bartender.

My true love for the industry was developed while working at Local 16, in DC, a business that inspired the vision of what would become Loyal Brothers Lounge. The hustle, the connection with other humans, the music scene, the exposure to great food & good times, it’s what sparked ideas and fed my passion for owning my own restaurant & bar business.

In addition to my time in DC, living in Miami and visiting New York solidified that I would eventually move back home to the Glenwood Springs area and start Loyal Brother’s Lounge, which was named for the bonds I formed during my childhood, running-a-muck & adventuring outdoors with good friends in Gypsum & Glenwood Springs. In 2018 when it was time for a change, and more space, the business expanded nextdoor, doubling in size and rebranding to become Native Son Restaurant.
